By now, most people must be aware of climate change and the terrible impact it can have on the world. Everywhere around the world is likely to be affected in some way or another if the current fluctuations in climate continue to happen but some places will be worse off than others. The Polar ice caps are likely to melt and widespread flooding is expected to occur in some areas whilst other areas will experience lengthy droughts. This is likely to hugely impact on the agriculture of so many regions of the world and the overall impact will be devastating for people.
Although the effects of climate change can already be felt, there is still a likelihood to momentously reduce the impact these changes will have. Every person can play their part by living in a more environmentally forthcoming manner but there is also a need to push for larger change. Governments and major companies hold the key to making the real changes that will reduce climate change and the terrible effects it may have. Consumers have to be ready to lobby for proceedings and change their shopping lifestyle if they want to be able to force businesses and governments to act for the greater excellent.
Switching to more environmentally forthcoming sources of energy is a fantastic way for an organisation to reduce the number of CO2 gasses they make each year. Wind, water and solar power are all emerging ways of harnessing energy and switching to these methods will place a lesser strain on the earth’s natural resources.
Not only will switching to these methods bring a benefit to the environment but there must also be an economic saving for the companionship as well. The rising cost of fuel and gas, partly influenced by the losing ground availability of these commodities, has harmed firms so finding more affordable sources of energy is of fantastic benefit.
There are many ways for people and firms to save money whilst saving the earth and this is an area everywhere climate change can really be impacted upon. Switching to environmentally forthcoming light bulbs can make a saving for the normal household so you can imagine how much money it will save a companionship. This is everywhere firms have to be proactive in switching to more environmentally forthcoming methods as it will benefit them, their shareholders and the earth. If everybody does their bit, the threat of climate change can be averted and the earth can be saved for future generations.

Honest Tea Launches THE GREAT RECYCLE In Effort To Boost Recycling Rates Nationally

Honest Tea? announced today a new, national recycling initiative called The Fantastic Recycle, which will launch in New York Citys Times Square on Monday, April 30th.
In a show of support for New York Citys pledge to double recycle hard work by 2017, Honest Tea and partners GrowNYC, Recyclebank, Coca-Cola Live Positively, Global Inheritance and Five-Boro Green Services will place a 30-foot tall recycling bin in Times Square and attempt to crowd-source recycle more than 45,000 plastic, glass and aluminum beverage containers in ten hours. The plastic bottles collected will be recycled into essential gardening supplies including shovels, watering cans and plastic lumber, which will be used to erect and cultivate an urban backyard for PS 102, an elementary school in Harlem.
National recycling rates are nowhere near everywhere they need to be, says Honest Tea co-founder and TeaEO Seth Goldman. Honest Tea is committed to finding ways to help Americans recycle more. Weve helped install recycling bins in our hometown of Bethesda, MD and now its time to expand our hard work.
At the event in Times Square, bottles will act as currency. People who bring bottles down to The Fantastic Recycle will be awarded points for each bottle recycled, that can be redeemed at the onsite TRASHed Recycling Store run by Global Inheritance. There, points can be redeemed for rewards such as cold bottles of Honest Tea, t-shirts and reusable bags, jeans, video sports meeting, and tickets to sporting events, concerts and Broadway shows.
New York City is a world leader in many areas and is committed to actions that secure a sustainable and livable future for all residents. The goal to double the waste diversion rate includes initiatives like expanding door to recycling in public spaces, and other initiatives that will make it even simpler to do the aptly thing. This is just one component of the Mayors hard work to make New York City one of the greenest, most livable cities, says David Hurd, the Director of Office of Recycling Outreach & Education for GrowNYC. Recycling beverage containers is a unadorned everyday way to combat climate change and reduce the cost of exporting our waste to other states.
Those who cannot attend the event in Times Square will have an opportunity to participate in The Fantastic Recycle by logging onto http://www.TheGreatRecycle.com and making a recycling pledge and then solidifying it by recycling an ancient Facebook post. By taking the pledge, users will be rewarded with Recyclebank points which can be redeemed for discounts and deals from more than 3,000 local and national businesses in categories ranging from food and beverage to health and beauty, restaurants, entertainment, sports and recreation, apparel, automotive, electronics and more.
Honest Tea partnered with TerraCycle in 2007 to make the Drink Pouch Brigade, a program which recycles drink pouches and upcycles them into items such as pencil cases, book bags, and notebooks. Since 2007, nearly one million Honest Kids pouches have been diverted from landfills. The Drink Pouch Brigades now divert more drink pouches from the waste stream than Honest Tea produces each year.
In 2008, Honest Tea partnered with Bethesda Green and The Coca-Cola Companionship to install 33 recycling bins throughout city center Bethesda. Within the first year the bins collected more than 4,000 lbs. of recyclable beverage containers.

Climate change is both a development and environmental issue. A global consensus is emerging that climate change is an issue that cannot wait and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.
Today there is a double challenge: how to reduce damaging carbon emissions and still meet the energy demands of the world’s poor. The World Bank focuses on the additional economic and social opportunities that a low carbon path makes.
Countries trying to being paid away from from poverty must not be penalized for the consequences of fossil fuel dependent growth patterns in the rich countries. Their development aspirations must be at the center.
A global regulatory framework, which would provide the necessary financial flows to developing countries, is needed. This framework must match the long-term need for energy for development with the necessary technical innovation and financial incentives to go consistently towards a low carbon nation.
The Poor Are Disproportionately Affected
Developing countries are more vulnerable to climate change than rich countries, with poor people being the most at risk from the increased impacts of volatility in weather patterns (i.e., floods and droughts).
Creature-induced climate change is expected to negatively impact agricultural productivity throughout the tropics and sub-tropics, decrease water quantity and quality in most arid and semi-arid regions, increase the incidence of malaria, dengue and other vector borne diseases in the tropics and sub-tropics, and harm ecological systems and their biodiversity. In addition, the sea level rise associated with expected increases in temperature may possibly displace tens of millions of people living in low-lying areas, such as the Ganges and the Nile deltas, and may possibly threaten the very existence of tiny island states.
