Propane Cost
How much propane gives the same amount of heat as a cubic foot of natural gas? How much does the propane cost?
Question by Dilbert: How much propane gives the same amount of heat as a cubic foot of natural gas? How much does the propane cost?
The point of this question is to compare costs. The local cost of natural gas is one factor, but the cost of propane must be more consistent throughout the USA, so it’s simpler to compare the national cost of propane with the local cost of natural gas. Aptly?

Propane is no more consistently priced throughout the U.S. than gasoline (not gas). Your local propane companionship must have all these statistics. Next, find out the efficiency of your furnace on propane vs gas.

Oakland and Alameda Auto Repair Shop, Alameda Auto Lab Car Repair and Service, Announces March Specials

Alameda, CA (PRWEB) March 15, 2012
Oakland and Alameda auto repair shop, Alameda Auto Lab Car Repair and Service, offering oil changes, auto repair and truck rentals in Alameda, is featuring a propane special to get customers ready for BBQ season. By mentioning this advertisement, customers will receive a BBQ tank refill for only $ 19 during March.
We are also still offering an oil change with oil filter special for most cars, Robert Ramos of Alameda Auto Lab Car Repair and Service said. Give us a call to learn more about fine points and pricing.
The car repair shop would also like to take this opportunity to place forward car drivers tips on knowing when a car has a wheel-alignment problem.
“If you know anything about wheel alignment, you’ve probably heard the terms camber, caster and toe-in,” Ramos said. The camber is the angle of the wheel, measured in degrees, when viewed from the front of the vehicle.
When the top of the wheel is leaning out from the center of the car, then the camber is positive. If it’s leaning in, then the camber is negative. If the camber is out of adjustment, it will cause tire wear on one side of the tire’s tread. If the camber is too far negative, for instance, then the tire will wear on the inside of the tread.
Alameda Auto Lab Car Repair and Service is proud to have sponsored the Alameda Boys and Girls Club auction on March 3rd. Alameda Auto Lab has helped the club for many years.
For more information about any of Alameda Auto Labs services, call 510-863-8098, view the auto repair on the web at http://www.alameda-oaklandautolab.com or visit 631 Buena Vista Ave. in Alameda.

Vehicles Fueled by Propane Autogas Hit Pavement in Empire State
Vehicles Fueled by Propane Autogas Hit Pavement in Empire State
Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 07, 2011
The New York Propane Gas Association (NYPGA), with support from the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), invites moving professionals to attend one of four upcoming roadshows in New York to learn about the capabilities of vehicles fueled by propane autogas.
“Propane autogas is a safe, affordable, readily available, and domestically produced fuel option,” said Barbara Roach, executive director at NYPGA. “These free events give fleet professionals the tools they need to consider incorporating clean-burning propane-autogas-fueled vehicles into their fleet.”
The events are being held at Phelps Sungas in Geneva on October 12; Hotel Sierra in Fishkill on October 13; Niagara Falls Conference Center in Niagara Falls on November 8; and Hilton Backyard Inn in Troy on November 9.
Propane autogas is the third most common vehicle fuel, with more than 270,000 vehicles operating on propane autogas in the United States and 15 million worldwide. Propane autogas reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 25 percent and makes 20 percent less nitrogen oxide, up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide, and fewer particulate emissions when compared to gasoline.
“At a time when gasoline prices are continually rising, interest in alternative fuel technology is at an all-time high,” said Roy Willis, PERC president and CEO. “Propane autogas can help fleet professionals save on the bottom line, and have a positive impact on sinking our nation’s carbon footprint and dependence on foreign oil.”
Representatives from American Alternative Fuels, Blue Bird Corp., Briggs & Stratton, CleanFuel USA, Ferris Industries, Roush CleanTech, and TransTech Energy will be on hand to discuss the latest propane and propane autogas technologies and product offerings.
Presentations will cover return on investment, cost savings, environmental benefits, tax incentives, fueling infrastructure, and new products nearing release, among other topics. A representative from PERC will give up a propane overview, and a ride-and-drive will give fleet professionals the opportunity to experience the capabilities of a vehicle fueled by propane autogas.
All roadshows are free and take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To register for any of the NYPGA roadshows, visit http://www.propaneroadshows.com or http://www.nypropane.com under upcoming events. For more information about PERC and its research and development, training, and safety programs, visit http://www.autogasusa.org.
The Propane Education & Research Council was authorized by the U.S. Congress with the passage of Public Law 104-284, the Propane Education and Research Act (PERA), signed into law on October 11, 1996. The mission of the Propane Education & Research Council is to promote the safe, efficient use of odorized propane gas as a preferred energy source.

Oxy-Propane Cutting [1080p HD]
With a groundbreaking new SMITH setup, owned my Wes. I’d never cut with propane before, but it seems to me to be just as excellent as acetylene, and a whole lot cheaper. Wes wasnt sure what a propane exchange cost for that size of tank but I just exchanged mine the other day and it was only .07. Not terrible, not terrible at all!! Wes’s Direct: www.youtube.com
Electric vs. Propane Heaters
Electric vs. Propane Heaters
Article by Ben Netherton
Remember those fantastic summer nights dining outdoors, or on your balcony staring at the nighttime sky? Those excellent times don’t have to end, with fall or into winter. An open-air heater may possibly reinvigorate your business or add more nights on your patio throughout the off seasons. There is one problem. What kind of open-air heater must you but buy? Electric or Propane? Which is more effective? Do they both place forward the same kind of heat? Which one is more economical? Luckily our product staff has taken the time to thoroughly research and test both sorts of heaters and are only to pleased to give you the breakdown on electric or propane. We tested two comparable models to help you the consumer what choice might be best. Please note that consequences may very on different models.
Range
What’s the point of buying an open-air heating lamp if it will not heat the surrounding area effectively? Buy a heater that will thoroughly warm the area and be space efficient at the same time. It would be a shame to exclude any guest or family tree member from heat since of poor plotting. Most propane heaters have a slightly wider range then an electric heater. They are able to apply out warmth more but also tend to be less focused.
Advantage: Propane
Cost
Cost is an vital factor when purchasing an open-air heater. You are not just paying for the heater itself but for its power or propane gas tanks. Now prices will very on everywhere you live. Some areas propane is cheaper then electricity even as in others electricity might be cheaper. Generally speaking electricity has found to be cheaper then propane.
Advantage: Electricity (Depending on location)
Heat Type
Not all heat is the same. Believe it or not some is more natural then others and even safer. Electricity wins this battle. It is really much more reminiscent of the type of heat that comes from the sun. It’s more natural heat that won’t leave you burned or dry.
Advantage Electricity
Safety
Safety is very vital to consider. Everyone has heard about potential problems with space heaters. An electric open-air heater easily wins this battle. Operation is simple. You do not have to worry about lighting an ignition light or leave-taking the gas on. If careless propane tanks can be very perilous as they do house a volatile substance within.
Advantage: Electricity
Even as electric out door heaters overpowered propane with our comparison here are too recommendations that will leave you warm on a cold nighttime.
