yes and you will have to used it a lot since e 85 is cheap fuel dont mean its excellent to drive with.. car would run better on regular and not have as many problems most smart people dont use fuel thats not going to get better mileage with and e85 is not a excellent choice any type wil work as well as the other smarter to buy a better fuel than e 85 car wil run better and get better mileage cost you less to drive and wil not have as many problems just since they say you can use it they didnt say it was excellent or better which it is not its just cheap fuel and anytime you buy cheap you get cheap so if your going to use e 85 might want to add a bottle at every fil up to keep fuel system clean be better with regular or high octane

New Ethanol Additive Treatment Announced by Champion

(PRWEB) January 14, 2012
Champion Brands is excited to add eGuard to its growing list of brilliant high performance automotive chemicals. Champion Brands eGuard Ethanol Fuel Behavior is a multi-functional gasoline additive specifically formulated for use in gasoline and ethanol blends from E-10 to E-85. This new product contains advanced corrosion protection for fuel systems and is suitable for 2 and 4-cycle engines using gasoline, gasoline/oil and ethanol blends.
Ethanol-blended gasoline interacts with moisture, causing ethanol and water solution to separate from the fuel and pool in the tank. This phase separation poses a serious corrosion problem in fuel system parts – chief to reduced performance or premature failure. Champion eGuard is designed to prevent this administer and keep ethanol-blended fuels from interacting with water.
Champion eGuard also contains anti-oxidants to stabilize fuel and reduce gum formation and anti-corrosion additives to protect fuel system parts. The treat rate for Champion Brands eGuard is 1 oz. per 10 gallons of fuel. This product is not intended to be used with diesel fuel systems.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN e85 FUEL IN JUST 6 STEPS
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN e85 FUEL IN JUST 6 STEPS

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN e85 FUEL IN JUST 6 STEPS
Step One:… The Conversion Administer
We have to break down carbohydrate sugars, such as the starch from corn. Make it into “Mash”. Mill or crush the feedstock (corn, soybeans, wheat, etc…). Then dilute and add an enzyme (alpha amylase) to turn the mixture into a liquid. Once watery a second enzyme is added (glucoamylase) to convert the starch into sugar. (If the source is mainly sugar, i.e…rotten fruit, molasses, etc…, the conversion step can be skipped.
Step Two:… Fermentation
Add yeast and make it into a beer (wine) type solution.
Step Three:… Distillation
The beer (wine) type solution needs to be run through a still to extract the alcohol from the solution.
Step Four:… Filtration
The ethanol now needs to be filtered to get rid of surplus organic volatiles.
Step Five:… Thirst
The ethanol needs to be “dried”. With the distillation administer there will be a particular amount of water in the ethanol you have just made – this can be dried running the ethanol through Zeolite a readily available product for drying ethanol.
Step Six:… Ethanol Into e85
Now austerely convert the pure ethanol into e85 by adding 15% unleaded gasoline to your ethanol. e85 is not anything more than 85% ethanol mixed with 15% gasoline.
Making your own ethanol will demand some initial investment, but the rewards will be very, very beneficial. You can make your own e85 for aptly around a $ 1.00 a gallon if you buy the corn and for about $ .60 a gallon if you grow your own corn.
e85 Flex Fuel Vehicles are apt more and more well loved as the gas prices continue to rise. e85 is certainly going to be a major relief for the United States fuel problem.
You may even be driving a flex fuel vehicle now. Many newer models are equipped to handle both gasoline as well as e85 ethanol. The best way to check is to look in your owners manual, check in the fuel door for the e85 sticker or contact your dealer and have them run your vin number to see if you vehicle is compatible. It is best to do all three; to be on the safe side

A Look At E85 Fuel
A Look At E85 Fuel
Article by Tom Tessin
Among the desperate and ridiculously expensive attempts to find a new fuel for the future, lays a green fuel that has been around for decades. This liquid is called ethanol and has already been mixed with a tiny amount of gasoline (15% gasoline to be exact) to make the fuel called E85. Ethanol is not anything new, in fact, at a chemical level it is exactly the same to grain alcohol, the same alcohol that is illegal to consume in an open container even as driving. What makes E85 so special is its efficiency compared to standard gasoline. E85 increases gas mileage, has roughly 80% fewer carbon emissions, eliminates the emissions of acid rain making toxins, and on top of all that can be harvested and made from such a wide variety of sources. Ethanol can be extracted from sources such as prairie switch grass, wood chips, corn husks, and soy. So now you know about E85, but what you might not know is that over five million cars and trucks are already outfitted to handle this fuel. Vehicles such as Explorers, Tauruses, Stratuses, Suburbans, and other vehicles are equipped to fuel up aptly this minute. The technology is called flex-fuel and has been around for numerous years now. The only problem now is that the fuel is virtually non-existent and exceptionally hard to find. There are roughly 170,000 gas stations in the United States and less than 1000 carry the E85 fuel.
The complete change over from standard gasoline to E85 is not going to be happening overnight. E85 is slightly more corrosive to contain than gasoline, so service stations would have to retrofit particular tanks to contain the fuel, and more refineries would have to initiation opening soon to make ethanol. The current ethanol production stands at less than five percent of what it would take to wean the United States off of imported oil that has been costing the nation so much.
Ethanol is not new. In fact, Henry Ford’s early cars ran off of ethanol. The major change in the price is the fact that there is very small infrastructure to produce it. Despite the advantages of numerous sources of ethanol, there are not enough refineries to turn the plethora of material into usable ethanol. Slowly angel investors, including Bill Gates, have been investing in the future production of ethanol by funding new refineries. Once these production plants are in place, it is up to an oil enthralled country to change their perspective on green fuel and take the necessary events to support the growth of the fuel that can increase efficiency, save money, and take drastic events in cutting down harmful emissions that are plaguing the planet.
Whether you fill up with Ethanol or Unleaded, try and remember that you’re doing the world a favor when you go the Ethanol route. Even if you don’t care about the environment today, reckon of the future of America and what each person can do for it. If we’re in this together, we can make a difference for the future. Every person counts.
